My Personal View of The Secret

First, I do not totally agree with the movie The Secret nor believe in the philosophy promoted by the law of attraction.

Parts of the movie oversimplify the process or say things that are just wrong.

Consider: "We are the result of what we want to happen to us." Although true in some ways, this can be wrong in so many ways. Birth defects, child abuse and for other reasons, this cannot be a truth.

Also, I do not think that the universe is our own personal ATM to allow us to satisfy our every greed.

The Secret does not allow for the evil forces at work in the universe. The law of attraction theories do not account for these forces. All of the positive thinking in the world cannot counteract these forces. That being said, I do believe we can benefit from the psychology behind law of attraction.
