Speechmastery Today Quote and Notes

Thousands of people are searching every day for a today quote. Many of these people also want to become public speakers. If this is you, I want to help you. More importantly, I want to help you to become a great speaker in less time than it took me.

The 10,000 Hour Rule

Have you ever heard of the 10,000 hour rule? It was a rule developed from looking at people who became the best of the best. On the average, it took them 10,000 hours to get to the top.

Basically, it found that it took about 4 hours a day 5 days a week for 10 years for those at the top of their game to get there. Scientists, athletes, musicians, actors and anyone who has ever been great at doing anything.

There is another factor that plays into the creation of greatness. These people learned to use more of their brains. You see, most of us use only about 5% of our mental potential. There are some who use 20% more than the average person. They are the professionals in sports, music, the arts and the sciences. Then there are those at the very top. They use about 20% more of their brains that the professionals or 40% more than the average person.

The good news, you can get to using more of your brain too. You can become a top performer. All you need is 1) a desire to be there and 2) a pathway to get there and 3) putting in the work and practice to get the skills.

The desire part is up to you. If you just want to be good and you miss the mark. you will be mediocre. So, those who want to be the best, those who want to be great are the ones that have the best challenge to attain success. Even if you fall short, you will still be very good and you will be on your way to being great.
